Provides high level administrative support for the Office of the President; represents the office in a professional and proficient manner, maintaining a high level of confidentiality; drafts letters in response to incoming mail and other correspondence for the President and on behalf of the office; manages the daily, professional schedule for the President, and ensures she/he is well-prepared for each engagement; coordinates travel arrangements and prepares all related paperwork for the President; responds to inquires of the Office of the President (voice, VP, email, and in-person); works closely with other front office support staff to coordinate the log-in of incoming mail, mail distribution, and to provide front office telephone coverage; and assists the Manager by providing administrative and logistical support for a variety of special projects, events and activities that are hosted by the Office of the President, as requested.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree and a minimum five years of secretarial or clerical experience at an upper administrative level (high school diploma and GED and a minimum nine years of secretarial or clerical experience at an upper administrative level will be considered). Experience in general office operations and managing an administrator's calendar at the upper administrative level. Good writing and editing skills (evident command of English, grammar, spelling, etc.). Experience with computer software programs (e.g., MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Publisher, file maintenance, and database familiarity). Flexibility in working with others and maintaining a pleasant and team-oriented attitude, and ability to exhibit a professional approach with interacting with diverse populations are crucial to this position. Must have a good understanding of appropriate customer service. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to exercise a high degree of tact, independent judgment, and personal initiative. Demonstrated ability to ensure confidentiality regarding all internal and external interactions with the Office of the President. Demonstrated ability to handle complex as well as routine tasks. Fluent sign language skills required at time of application.

Interior Designer/ Purchasing Agent

Provides comprehensive interior design, procurement, and project management services related to the design, specification, and installation of interior and exterior furniture, furnishings, signage, and other related commodities; negotiates the "best buy" for the University for a variety of furnishings and equipment, as well as related supplies and services; designs office space, residence hall accommodations; recommends and specifies furnishings; conducts bidding, selects vendors, issues purchase orders, and administers same to completion.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in interior design and professional certification (ASID or IIDA) required. A minimum three years of experience in commercial interior design. Proficiency in AutoCad software design system. Thorough knowledge of commercial office interior design and furnishings specifications appropriate for University use. Knowledge of business and purchasing procedures. Excellent analytical decision making and reporting skills are required as well as good communication and negotiating skills. Ability to administer complex projects. Sign language skills required or a willingness to learn within a reasonable amount of time.
Salary/Compensation:

Minimum Salary: $46,000
